Taney Place Farm, home of Battle Creek Beef, has been in operation since the early 1800s. The Wells’ family produces corn, wheat, soybeans, hay and straw as well as Angus beef. They offer all "natural", choice Angus beef, pork and eggs. The beef and pork are USDA processed, frozen and vacuum sealed. Available for purchase year round at the farm store, Chesapeake's Bounty, "The Farm Stand" at Spider Hall Farm, as well as various farmers markets.

Horsmon Farm produces horse quality hay: Orchard grass in square bales and pre-order custom round bales. Teff is available in square bales and pre-order custom round bales. Sudan grass for cattle is available in round bales only. Straw is great for decorating, animal bedding, or mulching after re-seeding.
Family-oriented equestrian educational center located on 30 acres. Offers boarding services, leasing services and lessons in an indoor or outdoor arena with a conditioned observation area and tack room with bathroom. Facility is a High Adventure approved vendor for the Girl Scouts Council of the Nation’s Capital as well as a certified Horse Discovery Center. Voted 2013 Peoples’ Choice Best Horse Stable in Calvert County.
