Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant
Located in Lusby, Calvert Cliffs, Maryland’s only nuclear power plant, produces nearly 1,850 megawatts of zero-emissions energy, enough carbon-free electricity to power more than one million homes per year and 84% of Maryland’s clean energy.
This Constellation facility employs nearly 700 people and the workforce has strong ties to the community and philanthropic endeavors throughout Southern Maryland. Their employees demonstrate incredible leadership and passion for causes near and dear to their hearts, giving their time, their dollars, or both back to causes in our community through programs like Impact Leaders and Employee Giving. In addition, the facility pays approximately $23 million annually in taxes which support our schools, roads and other public services.

Wear Your Spirit Warehouse
Ali began Wear Your Spirit Warehouse in 2004 at her kitchen table. She was a mom of two young girls and a proud military wife. In 2010, the business outgrew the house and she moved into a commercial space. In 2014, sadly her husband was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer forcing Ali to close her commercial location and move her business back into her home where she could take care of her husband and children. In 2016, Col. Banholzer passed and Ali took some time to grieve, take care of her family and plan her future.
With the support of friends, employees and the community, Ali reopened her business in a small location in Huntingtown. Today, her business is growing leaps and bounds. She is currently in her largest commercial space yet with a little over 1,600 square feet.
