Election Judges

Thank you for your interest in becoming an election judge. We have begun accepting applications for voters who are interested in serving as election judges for the 2024 election. 

Qualifications

Registered voters who are interested in working as an election judge are encouraged to call the election board office for an application or fill out the online application below. The qualifications for eligibility are to be able to clearly speak, read, and write the English language, as well as have some level of comfort on computers. All party affiliations are welcome.

Judge's Pay

This is a paid position. For each election worked, the pay is a minimum of $250. Attending a training class is a mandatory condition of appointment, in accordance with Maryland State Election Law. Election judges will be paid $50 to attend the required class, along with their election pay, and payment is received about 6 to 8 weeks following each election.
