The Bayside Community Food Pantry provides prepackaged food baskets to families in the Chesapeake Beach and North Beach communities. Food collection baskets are located in the Bayside Welcome Center.
The Bayside Food Pantry is run by volunteers with a goal to help the hungry and share the love of Christ. Weekly food and financial donations are needed because of high demand. If you would like more information on how you can become a part of this ministry, please contact the church office.

The Calvert Churches Community Food Pantry (CCCFP) is open to Calvert County residents located north of Broomes Island Road. The CCCFP participates in the USDA food assistance program each month.

End Hunger in Calvert County is an accredited 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to end hunger for good in Calvert County. Their partnership with the Maryland Food Bank allows them to serve as a regional distribution center. End Hunger in Calvert County distributes food and products to 52 feeding organizations across Southern Maryland.

Farming for Hunger Mobile Food Pantry

Farming for Hunger (F4H) partners with the Maryland Food Bank “Mobile Pantry” program to grow vegetables, package and distribute fresh produce to go to residents in Southern Maryland. The goal of each produce distribution is to provide immediate relief to communities that are struggling with food insecurity.

Ladies of Charity Food Pantry

The Ladies of Charity Food Pantry has eight openings each month and offers a nutritious menu of perishable and non-perishable groceries at each opening, including fresh produce, bread, meat and canned meals, vegetables and fruit. Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter meal groceries are also provided.
Pantry Hours: Every Tuesday from 4:30 to 6:00 pm, and every Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Additionally, an on-site "mini market" is available for clients living in the North Beach senior apartments once a month.

Middleham and Saint Peter's Parish has partnered with the Maryland Food Bank to provide food for families in need and to offer on-the-go services for those who may be unable to make it to traditional food pantry locations/times.

The SMILE Food Pantry offers a wide variety of foods that can help you supplement your groceries each week.
Registered SMILE clients can pick up a grocery bag of canned and packaged foods once a week by bringing their SMILE card to the Food Pantry. Depending on availability, we also offer meat, cereal and bread. Fresh vegetables may be offered during the summer months when we receive donations from local community gardens or other sources.
Clients usually receive the items below, but quantities are limited.
- A bag of groceries that has been packed according to family size. The food provided depends on the availability of specific items. Clients usually receive canned vegetables, tomato products, soups, beans, pasta, tuna fish, macaroni and cheese and other items as available.
- A cold or hot cereal
- A loaf of white bread
- Frozen meat (approx. ½ lb. per person in family) or other frozen entrees
- A dessert or sweet (if available)
Eligibility Requirements:
To obtain food, you must be a registered SMILE client.
A SMILE ID card must be presented to receive any SMILE services.
To obtain a SMILE card, you must register at the SMILE Thrift Store during its normal hours of operation:
- Mondays: 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Wednesdays: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Thursdays and Fridays: 10 a.m. to noon
- Saturdays: 9 a.m. to noon
You may register for yourself and/or for a family member. When you arrive at the Thrift Store, please tell the receptionist at the front desk that you want to register for services.

A volunteer, non-profit organization that provides one home-delivered meal, up to five days a week. Calvert Meals on Wheels (CMOW) drivers deliver about 80 meals each weekday. Any homebound citizen over the age of 60 is eligible regardless of income status.

Maryland Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) is a nutrition education program that can be found in communities across the state. The program targets individuals and families eligible for SNAP (EBT) and offers resources to help people lead healthy lives through increased food access, improved nutrition quality and physical activity. SNAP-Ed partners with community organizations in every county and Baltimore city to bring education programs and change the policies, systems, and environments of the community in an effort to improve the lives of Marylanders.

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program is a special supplemental food program that provides federal grants for healthy supplemental foods, as well as nutrition and breastfeeding education and counseling for pregnant and postpartum women, infants and children under age 5. The Southern Maryland WIC Program serves participants in Charles, Calvert and St. Mary’s Counties at five sites located in White Plains, Leonardtown, Lexington Park, Solomons and Prince Frederick.
