The Calvert County Local Care Team (LCT) is an interagency team that functions as a collaboration of helping hands dedicated to providing families of children and youth with intensive needs with the resources necessary to find success. Psychiatric rehabilitation programming provides intensive support for young individuals with mental illness, using tailored plans that complement treatment and assist in recovery. Specialized services for Transitional Age Youth are available; more information can be found under "Housing" in the "Programs and Services" menu.
In the Community Support program, staff deliver services at individuals' preferred locations, accommodating their schedules and needs.
Peer Support services enhance quality of life and engagement, allowing peers to assist in recovery. Offered at the Calvert County Parole and Probation office and the Department of Social Services, these services include individualized and group meetings (in-person, virtual or by phone), activities to reduce isolation, vocational support, access to social services, recovery advocacy and connection to treatment resources.
The highest level of support is Intensive Support, available in Pathways residences with on-site staffing for up to 24 hours per day, suitable for individuals transitioning from hospitalization or needing frequent intervention. Varied Support is also available, providing approximately three hours of daily on-site service for those requiring less intensive assistance.

Group or individual classes offered. Group classes are one hour a week for eight weeks. Individual classes vary. All classes discuss medications to assist with quitting, tools to help with cravings, and what your triggers are and how to avoid them. Group classes offer the opportunity to talk to other people on the journey with you.
Medications are offered at no cost that have been proven to increase success rates with quitting. Chantix, Bupropion XL and all nicotine replacement therapies are utilized in this program.
